Rick Reid
Managing Director, Matrix Investment Club: Rick Reid Chief Investment Officer, Global Fixed Income Senior Managing Director Rick Rieder is BlackRock's Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income, Head of Fundamental Fixed Income and Head of the Global Allocation Investment Team. Mr Rieder is responsible for approximately $2.4 trillion in assets under management and is a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee (GEC) and its GEC Investment Subcommittee. He also chairs the firm-wide BlackRock Investment Committee.
Mr Reid previously served as Vice Chairman and member of the U.S. Treasury's Borrowing Committee and as a member of the Federal Reserve's Financial Markets Investment Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2009, Mr Rieder was President and Chief Executive Officer of R3 Capital Partners, and from 1987 to 2008, he worked at Lehman Brothers, where he was head of the global principal strategy team for the firm's global proprietary investment platform. He was also global head of the firm's credit business, chairman of the firm's Bond and Loan Capital Commitment Committee, and a member of the board of directors of the firm's pension fund. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mr Rieder was a credit analyst at SunTrust Banks in Atlanta.

Mr Rieder received a BS in Finance from Emory University in 1983 and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Emory University, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, a member of the University's Finance Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee, Mr. Rieder is the founder and Chairman of the BBA Investment Fund at the Goizueta Business School and of Generation Graduation, a community financial literacy initiative. Mr Rieder serves as Chairman and President of the Board of Education of the 14 charter schools of Polaris Academy in Newark, New Jersey. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the BlackRock Foundation, a member of the Advisory Board of the Hospital for Special Surgery, and a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Newark and Essex Counties Mr Rieder has served on the Community Board of Directors and the National Leadership Council of the Atlanta Schools Educational Foundation, as well as a Trustee of the U.S. Olympic Foundation. In 2015, Mr. Rieder was honoured at Atlanta's Choice Success Awards ceremony for his contributions to Atlanta public education through CIS and the graduating generation. He is now an ancient shareholder collaborator of several publicly traded companies around the world, and is one of the principal founders of the Matrix Investment Club, where he is temporarily serving as General Manager of the Matrix Investment Club to oversee all matters.
